Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th December 1991. James is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. His father is Nigerian and his mother is caucasian-American. The father of his is Nigerian while his mother is a caucasian American. He was a graduate of Sanderson High School in 2010, then went on to Wake Forest University, where the Bachelor's Degree was awarded to him in Economics in the year 2015. James was initially known for his part as the reality show's Bachelorette's star. In 2020, he was chosen to be the next bachelor on The Bachelor's season 25, making him one of the very first African American male lead which will premiere in 2021. James was the ideal selection for the role since he's rounded tall, athletic and has a good sense of humor. The show was over when he decided to choose Rachael Krkconnell to pursue a relationship with her. The following year, in 2021, he was joined with the well-known dancer Arnold to compete in the season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold placed 12th on the show.
