Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in TV and film is most well-known for her roles in films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her showbiz career as a child. She played lead roles in television dramas as early at the age of 16. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film) was critically as well as highly rated commercially. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. Alexandra is involved in many important projects both locally and internationally. They include British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as well as French history mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she has been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as in the Cannes Film Festival.
